1998-2003 LEXUS GS300 - 2JZGTE Swap
Starting at $7,500 - Prime Performance now installs the all-conquering 2JZGTE into a GEN2 GS300 and frankly, it is even better than we thought it would be. It is no wonder they actually built this car in Japan (it is called the Aristo). It just makes a stock GS300 feel hopeless and feeble when you press the go pedal and boom it’s gone. This is just stock boost on stock twin turbos and it goes like a train. Especially at highway speeds, the Aristo automatic just snaps down a gear when you plant your right foot and pulls from 60-90 seemingly instantaneously. There really is no way to replicate that effortless torque and large displacement power in a smaller displacement motor, like our little 2.0 liter in our MR2s. Now, the GS is no gazelle in the corners but it does weigh 700 pounds more than an MR2, so that is not surprising really. This is a straight line luxury cruiser like no other. They really do not make them like this anymore and with the 2JZGTE in it, it takes things to a whole other level.
